Gastro Tour Highlights
During the tour, we will visit some of the most emblematic places in the old town, such as the Central Market, the Cathedral and the Carmen neighbourhood. At the same time, we will stop at traditional taverns and bars to sample local tapas and experience the city as its inhabitants do.
Food & drink
Valencia is world-renowned for its cuisine. Dishes such as paella, “arròs al forn”, the tapa “esgarraet” and the famous “all i oli” were born here. On this tour, you will enjoy at least four typical tapas accompanied by refreshing drinks, making it a complete experience for all the senses. You will also discover traditional drinks such as horchata and agua de Valencia.

Plaza de Santa Catalina; in front of the tower of the Church of Santa Catalina and Horchatería Santa Catalina (not to be confused with the Horchatería de la Plaza de la Reina).

A superb food tour!
Our guide Maria was great and gave us a good introduction to a lot of features in the old town as well as being ready and able to answer questions on a number of topics about the city. The various food stops were all busy (proving just how good they were) but spaces had been pre-booked for us. Maria had selected a great set based upon her detailed knowledge, prior visits to them (and many others) and a deep interest in the subject. A first-class experience.
Informative & Fun
We had a great private tapas walking tour with Alex as there were 4 in our group. It was informative & fun with 5 delicious stops which included some items we’d never try if we were wandering by ourselves. Everything we had was great! Without spoiling the tour by naming all the items we tasted, the Agua de Valencia was so fresh… my favorite adult beverage of our Valencia trip.
