About me
Hello! Welcome to the city of Turia! I am Maria, I have been living in Valencia for almost 40 years, so I consider myself a local. I have been a tour guide for more than 7 years.
Showing Valencia to people visiting this amazing city is simply wonderful. I really enjoy sharing a bit of my charming city full of history, fascinating architecture and exciting bars where you can enjoy delicious tapas.
I have a degree in History and Art History so I am passionate about architecture, sculpture and painting of all periods, features that Valencia offers everywhere.

my hobbies
In my spare time I love travelling and connect the history of some countries with others, so the pieces of the puzzle come together to form a whole.
I also love to dedicate myself to my organic garden where I have been planting and harvesting for 14 years, for me it is essential to be in contact with the earth and enjoy the outdoors.
I also really enjoy continuing to learn about art history and general history. And last but not least, I love hiking in the countryside!

Learn about the city!
This tour was great! We learned so much about the different historical buildings in the city. She did a fantastic job of tying in food with the tour. Maria was very knowledgeable about the buildings and history she was presenting to us. She was able to answer all our questions about the buildings and their histories as well. She left us with great ideas on what to do and lots of restaurants to try. I recommend this be the first thing you do in Valencia!

A wonderful experience with Maria
We were a group of 20 people and everyone was very complementary about the wonderful walking tour we had with Maria, she was super well informed and shared her knowledge in a very pleasant manner. She keep it interesting and factual. She also made it fun and, although I’ve been to Valencia before, Maria showed us many new things and details we would have missed. I can highly recommend her for a wonderful experience.
