About me
Hello! Welcome to the city of Turia! I am Maria, I have been living in Valencia for almost 40 years, so I consider myself a local. I have been a tour guide for more than 7 years.
Showing Valencia to people visiting this amazing city is simply wonderful. I really enjoy sharing a bit of my charming city full of history, fascinating architecture and exciting bars where you can enjoy delicious tapas.
I have a degree in History and Art History so I am passionate about architecture, sculpture and painting of all periods, features that Valencia offers everywhere.

my hobbies
In my spare time I love travelling and connect the history of some countries with others, so the pieces of the puzzle come together to form a whole.
I also love to dedicate myself to my organic garden where I have been planting and harvesting for 14 years, for me it is essential to be in contact with the earth and enjoy the outdoors.
I also really enjoy continuing to learn about art history and general history. And last but not least, I love hiking in the countryside!

Valencia History: Yesterday and Today
In April 2023, we joined Maria for a lovely walking tour of Valencia’s Ciutat Vella (Old Town). Having lived in Valencia ourselves in 2017, we were surprised at how much information about this beautiful city María imparted that we didn’t know. Excellent tour with Maria. She brought passion, years of knowledge and great conversation to our tour. Food selections were plentiful and highlighted Valencian nuances of Spanish cookery.

Maria is awesome!
Maria was a delight! She was friendly, very knowledgeable and gave us a wonderful tour. Her English is also very good which was a big help. Be prepared to walk a lot and fast. There is so much to see and do. At the end of our tour she gave us an excellent recommendation for paella at a beach restaurant. Thanks to Maria we had a wonderful day!
